Hull City Council will soon be introducing the facility that allows you to receive your Council Tax / Business Rates bills electronically, rather than by post.

Council Tax and Business Rates e-billing (Terms and Conditions)

Hull City Council will soon be introducing the facility that allows you to receive your Council Tax/Business Rates bills electronically, rather than by post.

By requesting e-billing you are also registering for My Revenues and Benefits which provides On-line access to your Council Tax/Business Rates Account.

If you choose to have this service, your bill will be issued as a .PDF attachment in an email sent to the email address provided by you. You will be helping the Council to save money and therefore you, as a taxpayer.

On receipt of a completed registration form you will be sent a letter informing of your username and password for My Revenues and Benefits and instructions on how to access your Council Tax/Business Rates on-line.

When the e-billing service is available you will be sent a copy of the last bill issued to you to confirm that the service has been started.

Please note that all other notices and legal documents, i.e. reminders, final notices or summonses, will continue to be issued in paper format.

Once this request has been processed, and the service is introduced, an electronic bill will be issued to the e-mail address you provided on the registration form. All future bills will be sent to you in electronic format.

Please note, it is your responsibility to access and read all the relevent leaflets that explain how your charges have been calculated.

You will be reminded where to access the leaflets every time we send you a bill.

By submitting a request for this service, you are agreeing to notify the Council in writing, if:

• Your email address changes
• You no longer have internet access
• You no longer want this service.

The Council reserves the right to withdraw this arrangement with immediate effect if we consider that this facility is being misused or mismanaged. You will be notified in writing if the facility has been withdrawn.


The bills are issued in accordance with S.233 Local Government Act 1972, The Council Tax (Administration and Enforcement) Regulations 1992 (S.I. 1992/613), The Council Tax and Non-Domestic Rating (Electronic Communications) (England) Order 2003 (S.I. 2003/2604) and The Non-Domestic Rating and Council Tax (Electronic Communications) (England) Order 2006 (S.I. 2006/237). They are treated as ‘given, served or supplied by sending the notice or information to that person by electronic communication to such address as may be notified by that person for that purpose’. Hull City Council is the data controller for the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998. The information you provide will only be used by the Council to assist in the administration of Council Tax and will not be disclosed to a third party.

Housing / Council Tax Benefit e-notifications (Terms and Conditions)

Hull City Council will soon be introducing the facility that allows you to receive your Housing/Council Tax Benefit notifications electronically, rather than by post.

By requesting e-notifications you are also registering for My Revenues and Benefits which provides On-line access for you to view details of your benefits, check when a payment is due, check what you have been paid and also inform us of any changes.

If you choose to have this service, your notification will be issued as a PDF attachment in an email sent to the email address provided by you. You will be helping the Council to save money and therefore you, as a taxpayer.

On receipt of a completed registration form you will be sent a letter informing of your username and password for My Revenues and Benefits and instructions on how to access your Housing/Council Tax Benefits information on-line.

When the e-notification service is available you will be sent a copy of the last notification issued to you to confirm that the service has been started.

Once this request has been processed, and the service is introduced, all future notifications will be sent to you electronically. If you are overpaid Housing Benefit and it is to be recovered from you by invoice, the invoice will be sent by post.

By requesting eSchedules you are also registering for My Revenues and Benefits which provides online access for you to check when a payment is due and see what housing benefit payments have been paid directly to you.

If you choose to have this service, your eSchedules will be issued as a PDF attachment in an email sent to the email address provided by you. You will be helping us to save money and you will receive the schedules quicker.

On receipt of a completed registration form you will be sent a letter informing of your username and password for My Revenues and Benefits and instructions on how to access your Housing Benefits information online.

You must read these notes before sending this form to us -
